Anyone in favor of Making Cards?

Hi All,
Would anyone be in favor of putting out paper and pens to allow people to write cards to the people of Japan?

American Red Cross's New Position

"Since early Friday morning, we have been in close contact with our colleagues in the Pacific region to offer our support and learn more about the humanitarian needs. The Japanese Red Cross has indicated that it would accept financial support from the American Red Cross for its role providing first aid, emotional support and relief items to those displaced.
On Sunday, the American Red Cross will deploy a disaster management expert from its Washington, DC headquarters to Japan for a week-long mission. She will serve on a seven-person, international team focused on providing high-level support and advice to the Japanese Red Cross, which continues to lead the local earthquake and tsunami response.
To date, the Red Cross has not received any requests for blood from the Japanese Red Cross, the Japanese government or the United States State Department."

Japanese Earthquake

Hi All,

As most all of you have already found out, Japan experienced a catastrophic earthquake and tsunami on March 10 Pacific Time or March 11 Japanese time.

As the American Red Cross Club, it is our duty to step up and help out those most in need. Therefore, we will be having a lunchtime donation session on March 14, 15, and 16 (so no meeting), where we will be accepting cash donations on the behalf of the American Red Cross and the people of Japan.

02/07/2011 Wrap-Up

Hello,

Today, we had Ms. Lauren Lombardo, an American Red Cross intern came in and present today. She went over briefly the history of Red Cross, and the many options that we can have. This is a brief summary of such ideas:

1. Help host/assist the blood drive at our school. And to donate blood, if possible.
2. Learn, and be certified to teach CPR.
3. Get different types of awareness with newspapers, flyers, and our school's schoolloop.
4. To partake in Disaster Training courses to know what to do in case of an actual disaster.
5. To assign our school to a shelter site as well as how to use it in emergency.
6. Fundraiser with different events for charity and such. Possible ideas are selling pins for the Measles Initative, or selling the silly bands.
7. Volunteering and various seminars.

Please share out your opinions on which ones you think we should try and do. Also, add to the list if I missed anything.

Z, out.
